In any case, how do you like it best?
I say, CARE-uh-mull, and I can eat it, in any way, shape or form, but, my favorites are as warm sauce over ice cream or apples, and as filling for chocolates.

Hey KRUD...sorry, but it's NOT a US thing. I've lived in the USA my whole life, and have heard this word pronounced in at least three different ways, in all parts of the country by all different people!

The same way as you do.
I love warm sauce over ice cream, apples, or tummies.

Mmm... Sounds delicious. I'm from Texas and I say CAR-mull. However, in that Dido song, I happily sing along when she says it care-uh-MELL because it sounds so pretty.

Here in the USA it's just the car mull unless you're doing a commercial and getting paid. I also like it better when it's made here too.

yep, just car-mull no uh in the middle. don't care for it much my sons like the little caramel squares though and caramel dipped apples.

i say " care-uh-MELL".
i also love caramel on ice cream and in chocolate.
i sometimes dip strawberries in melted caramel and my sister likes to put some in the cakes she bakes. weird but tasty. lol.

filling for chocolates, warm sauce over ice cream, I like caramel dipped apples.
The idea of drizzling nice gooey warm caramel over just about anything sounds very yummy.
