I have to agree with Beldin on this one, the Big Ten. Top to bottom, it is simply the most complete conference. The SEC is a very good conference, but a lot of people rationalized their lack of offense (see Alabama vs. Tennessee) as due to their unusually stout defenses, a claim that was disproved when Notre Dame lit up Tennesse, Wisconsin pancaked Auburn, and West Virginia opened up 28-0 on Georgia.
As for TxGAMER09's comment about the Big 12, "many powerhouses"??? Yeah, I think Kansas, Kansas St., Iowa St., Colorado, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma St., and Baylor really demonstrated last year what it means to be a "powerhouse". That leaves four teams, and I think I'm being pretty generous. Why would everyone have heard of the Big 12? That's a completely unsubstantiated opinion exacerbated by the fact the Big 12 probably has one of the smaller population bases among the BCS conferences. Plus it's only a decade old. People nationwide are far more familiar with the Big Ten, the SEC, or the Pac-10.
Here's my ranking (from last year):
Big Ten
SEC
ACC
Big 12
Pac-10
Big East
Mountain West
WAC
C-USA
MAC
Sun Belt

BIG 10
Year in and year out, the big ten has the deepest conference in the nation as every team is so good. Only OSU's won a national championchip because to do so you have to beat every team in the big 10 which is almost impossible, considering their are some crazy road games for really good teams and very strong rivalries. Big 10 also year in and out does better in any other confederence in boal games, another conference strength indicator. With OSU leading the nation in both polls, Michigan returning many starters, Iowa, Wisconson, Penn St. still looking very strong, the big 10 is up for grabs, even with Michigan St., NW, and Minnesota possibly involved.

SEC is the best followed by ACC. You put the last place team from either conference in the PAC 10 and they will have atleast 8 wins.

Top to bottom it's the Big Ten.
Just considering the teams that will contend, it's the SEC.
Sorry, but the ACC blows. The original eight schools should drop football as a varsity sport, as none of them can compete with the four imports (FSU, Miami, VPI, BC).

human beings attempt to get on the ACC even with the undeniable fact that the ACC has executed properly hostile to different conferences exceptionally the vast LEAST. also, the %10 outdoors of USC is mid-significant so i'd ought to placed it as a tie between the vast East and %10.

The Big 12 is the best, because they have several top 20 teams, which does include the national champion Texas Longhorns.

The SEC generally has better weather to play in. I would like to see them play in the Big Ten territory where the weather can be bad in October.
