i dont know who is the first but in alabama jackson co schools went back aug 9 and madison co went back aug 7

In Broward County Florida thew went back to school on August 15.

In Richmond, Texas where my niece is school started this week but here where I am in Michigan it's September 5th. This is the first year in a long time they have waited until after labor day.

My nephew goes back to school on September 6. My college starts back on August 28th. I know other schools have already started. It depends on the type of school it is and what state you live in.
