I need to know if any porn activity went on .. but I do not have access to his computer ,, if in fact he still has the same one !!!! I am asking if where it was my phone line .. can it be traced. ( if I asked my local provider .. and give him the phone number he used in my home while he was here.. As I said this was a year ago...

If this was using a dial-up connection, your friend was probably assigned a dynamic IP address by your ISP. So, unless you had a specific time frame, it would be difficult for the ISP to find your friend. Since you're going back a year, you may also hit an issue where the ISP no longer maintains those records.
And as someone else mentioned, the ISP most likely would not give you the info without some sort of legal authority.
If you want to get an idea of what type of info gets maintained in server logs, you can check the article below. You'll quickly see that phone numbers isn't one of the data elements.
As for your friend, he may still have some traces on his machine but it depends on a lot of factors.

A year is too long of a time for such records. You may though check through the cookies since some are designed to last over 50 years on your pc (not that you computer will still be working then) But cookies is the way to go unless you deleted them to make you computer run faster. Good luck
