I was on vacation in Maine. Elvis was supposed to be coming to town, and the streets were lined with "Welcome Elvis" and "We Love You Elvis" signs. The people were so excited that the King was coming to their town. But then they were all so disappointed when they heard the awful news - The King is Dead.

I was enjoying my last summer before Grade One. I remember nothing of Elvis. I thought he had died in the 60's for the longest time and I remember later on being suprised learning that he died so recently, without being able to remember it.
