Which is the better predictor of behaviour: personality traits or the situation in which the person finds himself or herself? explain it in between 1000 words.

I suggest you look up Dr. Robert Ellis and his work on behavior. One can train responses in situations where we perceive it to be one thing or another.

The better predictor of behaviour is the situation. Look at children for an example of this: a child can learn to behave certain ways in certain situations. A child who may not mind at all at home with their parents can be a perfectly well-behaved child when at preschool. Personality certainly does dictate the behaviours of a person, but behaviours can be altered according to the situation/environment.
