Yes i have the top right side of my lip pierced. It only swelled for a day or two. It hardly hurt though as long as your not ruth with it eating etc.. make sure you clean it properly and it should be alright in just a few days. Just make sure it doesnt get infected coz then you will be in pain.

most lips piercings will swell for 3 days...longer or shorter depending on the person it's completely random. swelling is the body's natural reaction to close off any entrance of bacteria so this is a good thing-so long as you have appropriate length jewelry. also labret studs are typically easier to heal w/ less irritation than a ring as it wont be bumped and rotated (yes that is bad to do) as much.

Mine swelled for a couple of days. After it's healed, it's easy to tell if it gets infected, cause it will swell then too. Make sure that if you get one, it's long enough. When it swells and there isn't enough room, it's very uncomfortable. But, yeah, you should totally do it, it doesn't hurt that bad at all! I have an industrial in my ear and even that hurt worse!

I got 3 llip piercings ...didnt swell one time....when I got my tongue peirced it swelled....when I got my eye brows pierced, didnt swell....when I pierced my smiley it didnt swelll...when I pierced my cheak it got infected real bad....and was hard to heall. Lips heal within 2 weeks if you clean daily and mouthwash often....no swelling
