What type of HDD is the best one like SATAII, SATA .......And why?

SATA and SATA II are serial ATA drives.
SATA II is the second generation drive and has a data transfer rate of up to 300MB/s
SATA is the first generation and has a transfer rate of up to 150 MB/s.
Your motherboard may have SATA connections but unless it can handle rates upto 300MB/s (check documentation) a SATA II drive will fall back to 150 MB/s

there are many types, always better coming when you buy. Make a choice by how much you can afford now and live with it and know next year you will have paid too much. Sata types are in right now if your HDD controller can take them.
