It will take a long time before the next US President can undo what Pres. Bush has done. Let us all hope that the next President will have that as one of his goals.

As a none american.

Most are waiting for the bush days to end. Many civilized nations believe the americans can't take another bush. Most are very disturbed with america's tactics, bulling and two faced tactics on the world stage and are hoping the next president will be much different.
There is much truth in the saying, "You reap what you sow"
I wouldn't be sewing an american flag on your backpack anytime soon when traveling abroad.
I do believe dark days are ahead for americans. I don't know if there is anything you can do about it either since for every fanatic that gets knocked off another 2 are there to take their place. Seems to me it's only a matter of time before they suceed unless you can change their view of you. I don't see any thing changing in the middle east for the US either unless it pulls up stakes totally and leaves the area totally alone. If you meddle in other peoples marriages you can expect to get a bloody nose now and again.

Time will tell. Lets hope a depression is not in the works.

One would assume that without George W. Bush things can only get better, and I sincerely hope that this will be the case. But one should also remember that the things he did and initiated remain with us, even after he has left office.
Under Bush's leadership the USA have become the world's evil empire, the force of darkness that takes other nations' freedom away and forces her own ideas and way of life on them, solely for commercial and some political reasons. This will not change when Bush is gone, and it will certainly not be forgotten by those on the receiving end. We will also not forget the illegal wars that were started under his administration, and the arrogant and unjustifiable attitude that it does not matter how many people in the world are killed or suffer, as long as it benefits the rich and ruling class in the USA.
It will very much depend on WHO will succeed Bush, and on the policies of the next administration. Due to Bush and his arrogant and inhumane actions the USA have lost many friends in the world. It will take time and much change of attitude and policies to win them back, if that is at all possible.

The view of the United States under Bush is the same view under Clinton, Reagan, Carter, etc. Since the begining the US has not been like by the Europeans and later others.
They do not like are foreign policy or our diplomacy. But America's critics do not have a good track record. They have started countless wars and let us not forget the failures of the League of Nations or the failures if the United Nations.

I dont think it will change at all. Our foreign policy will change little. The middle east is about to explode, so we will not be out of there long before we have to go back. Israel does not listen to the UN, never really has. Until Helbolah is completely removed, they will not stop. Until Iran and Syria stop supplying them, Helbolah will not stop. This is something is not going to end. Something big will happen that is going to turn the whole area into a war zone that will stretch from the Mediterranian to Afghanistan and possibly all the way to India.

This Bush loves to suspend the consitutional laws so he can have his way. I, for one, think he will suspend the constitutional portion that limits the president's term to 2. I think he will run again and, if he doesn't, then there is another one waiting in the wings. Surely there is another Bush that has not been president yet. Maybe Old Jeb Bush in Fla. will run. He hasnt been president yet. Or maybe the father. He can run. It is a sure bet that if a Bush does, he will be elected. The country is full of goats.

Yes, the world loved us before Bush. I remember Clinton and Saddam holding hands skipping through a field of daisies, while Mahmoud Ahmadinejad cooked lambchops on the grill. Kim Sung was quietly snapping photographs with the camera around his neck, and Osama and Hugo Chavez were smashing a pinata.

Oh, if we only had a democrat in office, we could sit around in a circle singing kumbaya and have world peace.

(my answer is more in response to some of the responses than your question)

George Bush has tarnished America's reputation as a world leader and global peacekeeper. He's considered a "bully', which is why so many countries are now looking into developing their own weapons of mass destruction as a defense against the U.S.A. What Bush has done will take years - if not decades - to undo, and then only if we can elect a President with compassion, love, understanding, integrity and true concern for the rest of the world's inhabitants.
Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and all 535 members of this sitting U.S.Congress are among the most evil, corrupt, incompetent, cowardly and arrogant bastards ever to lead our country. They all deserve to be tried for high treason, and in an international tribunal, for crimes against humanity. If convicted, they should all face a public firing squad. -RKO-

first of all how the world views the U.S. is not the problem that we should worry about. The deep division that is right here, right now is the problem.

the U.S. needs a new leader to step up, because all of the current potential candidates are the same tired bunch. republican or democrat.

we have to heal ourselves first before worrying about the rest of the world.

That will depend on who is elected, the first hundred days of any administration tells what direction they are going to take. I think that the moderate nations will accept an elected president a lot better then they accepted a appointed one.

Bush, who is hated by almost all the world, and is considered a terrorist by them, will slowly regain some trust after some actions by the new president, and the throwing out of the Fascists from the government!
