It's Ese and it means boss, homeboy, dog, dude, man ...it's a slang term.

Holmes is an affection term meaning friend

I'm not a guy, but I am hispanic.
Ese, pronounced like "essay" if you have an american accent is parallel to saying "dude"

Like, "hey dude, how is it going?"
It's like," hey ese, what's going on?"
It's kind of a street word or slang.

It's a little hard to translate, but that's a common way to use it. You can use the word to refer back to someone.

I'm not a hispanic guy but I am hispanic-Puerto Rican-and they don't say that. You must be talking about another ethnic background.

Its slang you know the meaning of slang don't you.... any way they are termanologies for friend. like homie or click or any other stupid shortend term that society creates and its not only hispanics all languages and ethnicities do it
