The reconstruction: keep in mind this was the end of the civil war and the blacks in the southe had just been freed though not equally treated
1900-1930: blacks are still not being respected as well but better
1930-1960: blacks rights starts becoming an issue of debate and soon becmes part of constitution a few days later

They hired company that specialized in returning slaves that escaped to North. They found her. She went to court and lost. Sums up much that was happening to Blacks.
