if happiness is contentment, then no. THere will forever be a hunger inside of us all that will need to be fed.Whether it be knowledge, wealth, love, sex, drugs, etc. We always want more than we have or need.
If one is of simple means, then it is possible to achieve complete happiness through the simple beauties of everyday life.
So to conclude, it can be both. Its up to the individual to determine their fate with happiness.

no because no matter what, there's always gonna be complications and certain problems that they would face. christians assume that once we die and go to heaven that we'll achieve complete happiness, buddhists assume that we'd be able to achieve complete happiness in a place called nirvana and we can only get there if we lead our lives the right way. but at the end of the day, these arent based on fact, and rather based on assumption. in our everyday lives people try to expect perfection, but nothing is really perfect in our lives, and if people say that, then you know they're not completely telling the truth, and people would also try to go for close to perfection. on some levels, this can be achieved, but in terms of when in a relationship it can never be this way. priests achieve more happiness than we do, along with contentment. their the closest people to happiness than anyone else.

I believe that they can but I've been trying so hard and cannot even find a little happiness.I
was told once that it is impossible to have complete happiness unless you are close with God.You must pray and go to church and really know him.But I am 100% positive that no amount of material possessions can bring complete happiness.

I think we can feel contentment, but to be completely happy would mean that all things that which makes us unhappy has to disappear, and the only time when that will be is when we're in Heaven...so the answer to your questions is yes...we can experience complete happiness..but not here on earth

A person can have complete happiness when they stop trying to acheive it. Maybe not immediately, but I think surrender is the key. It's not about how pleasant your life is, but about how you respond to it. The more I write the stupider I seem. Bye now.

I dont think so, because the bad that happens to us also produces good in the end. We rejoice when the pain stops but do not feel much when there is none.
Also as long as you and your family is in contact with society , there will always be external problems breaking that perfect happiness

yes absolutely, but it also depends on what makes YOU happy , if you just look around the world is beautiful, but their are also very sad and tragic things happening, sometimes being sad is also beautiful , I don't mean pain of seeing unjust in the world, but you have to find your way of enjoying life with the things that you have and can have and loving all the nature they will give you the happiness that you need.

Yes. When we enjoy what we do and receive love from another human being we are happy. The joys of life lie in small things and not the big and unattainable things in life.
