I went to the Philippines last July. Try looking in Yahoo Farechase http://farechase.yahoo.com/ I flew join Cagayan de Oro which is about 2.5 to 3 hour trip on bus from Ginoog. When you search on the website use Manila as your destination. I had no problem getting a quick flight once there to Cagayan de Oro for about $60 USD.

I recommend that you do not use Philippine Airlines as they are more expensive than China or Eva Airlines. The days of getting 500 dollar tickets are gone, lowest prices I've noticed are around 700+tax which ends up close to 1K. Also for the cheapest tickets there would be some restrictions, make sure you read the fine print before purchasing.

There are some links attached in my blogpage. You can use these links or try searching from the search box provided... http://purpleeyes-mayonvolcano.blogspot.com/
the place your looking for is in the visayas area. I think Cagayan de Oro city would be the nearest big city there then just take a bus to get to Ginoog. Use Manila to Cagayan when you search.
Good Luck!!!

I have used Globester. Good service and great prices. They are ticket dicounters. You will have to fly from Chicago to Manila. Stay away from Philippine Airlines ( PAL ) They are the worst airline in the world .

I dont suggest that you purchase your ticket online going to MNL since you wouldnt be able to find a good deal. Instead, kindly try checking it thru your travel agent. Advise him/her to search fares from China Airlines, Aseana, and EVA ... there three carriers are the cheapest when flying to MNL (Philippines) from mainland USA.

Go to the nearest LBC in your area and they can get you a great deal. LBC is like a Post office boxes etc for the Philippines and they have stores all over the U.S.

Where are you from? If you are from Hong Kong or Singapore or passing by it, Cebu Pacific's website has low fare offers.
