I believe you feel like you overreacted to the situation. Rather than having all of us verify that for you, apologize to your girlfriend. You should also let her know that you felt embarrassment about her comments, but that you understand that your reaction to the embarrassment should have been better.
I think her comment was a slick way of drawing attention away from her boob and turning the situation into one of humor. It sounds like she is quick on her feet with cute comments, which is always nice in those types of situations. All of us can sit here behind our computers and come up with a million one-liners for you to have used, but we were not there, in the moment with you. The first one that popped (bad pun) into my head was, “Dang! Y’all come to the beach for an hour and got to see them. I’ve been dating her for two years and this was my first time.” Whether true or not makes no difference, just the fact that you helped her turn an uncomfortable situation into one of humor would make her feel better.
I spent three years living in Germany and had quite a shock the first time I went to the local community swimming pool. Imagine me walking into the pool area with several American friends and their kids and seeing women all over the place with no tops. Imagine how quickly a few of us had to put hands over the mouths of some of the older boys with us. LOL We Americans are likely the most prudish people in the world.
Good luck!

Ya just a little...she was probably as embarrassed as you were but she has a sense of humor and wanted to save face so she played it off. Give the girl a break. It was an accident.

Yes, you overreacted. I am one of those women with big boobs that are real. People notice them, comment on them, and they pop out of things. We learn to have a sense of humor about them, and our men need to learn to as well.

That's one of the great things about going to a nude beach...this silliness never happens!
So her boob came out and people saw it...BIG DEAL! I love her reaction...she'd probably love being topless or going to the nude beach.
Give her a break...

She may have been embarrassed and not responded like she normally would. If that is her normal response I think you did the right thing.

In a word, yes.
She yelled out because she was embarrassed. You should have supported her.

She probably just said that to not be so embarrassed.
The other people might have laughed and made her feel embarrassed.
So..she said that so tehy would think she didn't really care all that much.

Don't be stupid -- she was probably more embarrassed than you, and at least she was able to blow it off with humor. You should have been more easy-going about it.
