why are the united states and Israel such close allies?

Israel was a country that was created by the UN after world war two because they thought the Jews should have a place/country of their own. Thus Israel was created. Why the US supports Israel has not only to do with military but also there are some religious reasons. Back in the day when the bible was written...or something, basically it is proclaimed in the bible that anyone who supports the Jewish nation, Israel, has God's blessing and will prevail. Well you remember how it was back in the old day in the U.S., people were highly religious. So people thought if we support Israel then the U.S. will prevail...so to speak. Also because in the early days o f Israel's formation we, the U.S., promised to always defend Israel, no matter what. So therefore today we are still bound by that promise and we will continue to fight for them.

They help our pursuits interior the international and are reliable allies. In different words they have been an effective pal to us.
