Sometimes I will get a flash of a feeling or desire in moment of a sigh, often after some related event. Are these true feelings, more honest than the things we tell ourselves we want when we are consiously thinking about them. Or are they just momentary impulses.

Sometimes they are just a great way of releasing an excess of carbon dioxide. Like sometimes when you fold your arms you're simply cold.

For me a sigh is a resignation of deprivation, tantalized but hopeless, a crushed hope, disgust. I don't sigh positively, but fixate and know....then sigh, frequently disgusted with my lifes circumstances.
