It's a sharp pain that sort of radiates outward. It's not the muscle in my sides because I know how that feels, this is deeper than that. I'm just worried something could be wrong with my baby ... am I being paranoid or is this something I should really get checked out? I can't even sit or stand without it hurting more than it does if I lay down but it never goes away.

Go down to where it says Abdominal pain or discomfort..

"Sharp, shooting pains on either side of your stomach may result from the stretching tissue supporting your growing uterus. These pains may also travel down your thigh and into your leg."

However since it's not going away, I would definately call my doctor if I was you. I have those pains in my sides sometimes, but it goes away in a few seconds after I change positions. Good luck!

Don't get paranoid. That's not good for you and neither is it for the baby.
Stay calm and the best thing is to do to call the Hospital and explain this to them.
If you are still unsure.. then maybe you should ask your hubby or anybody else to drive you to the hospital and let it check.. or simply wait until tomorrow then go to a doctor.

you might have a hot appendix.
Do you have a fever?
While laying down on your back. Take your hand and push in where the pain is.. Hold there for a moment. When you take your hand from your side.......does it hurt more pushing in or letting it out?
Does it hurt less when you lay on your back with your knees bent up with your feet flat ont the bed?
You didn't say how far along you are.
You should call your doc asap I think
