I came from a large family! My parents are ! Me and my brothers and sisters had to move in with this man who abuses us in almost every way. he hits us, he abuses us by words and stuff like that. i'm 11 years old and my little brother is sick, he has asthma really bad and he lost his inhaler which is causing him to get sicker and have asthma attacks we help him the best we can by giving him water that's sometimes helps. The man of this house won't let us use the phone. The internet doesn't always work with certain sites so we can't always e-mail the police. he keeps getting worse. he doesn't want to eat either, he keeps refusing to eat, what should I or my brothers and sisters do about this situation, and please if your kind and gentle and are willing to give me good advice, could you please be my friend cause I hardley have any. And if your kind enough to be my friend, thanks!

where are your parents?
i'm 12 and if i had this man in my family then i wouldn't wait a second.
if you have a cell phone, call the police.
i don't think you do, because if you did you would've called them already.
And your sick brother...
his situation might get WORSE than now and he is in really big danger NOW, think how serious this would be if time passes.

does you parents know about this? Tell them right now. quietly. You can't let this man abuse you and your brothers and sisters like this forever.
DONT let this man threaten you and scare you by his threats. You're stronger than him and do something fast and you'll feel much better by saving your family.
and of course i'll be your friend!
if you need any more advice, just e-mail me at coconutsxx3@yahoo.com

Your story sounds strange, but such things do happen in the world, so I will assume you are telling the truth. If you've lost your parents, I am very sorry, it is a very very difficult thing to go through.

It sounds like your caretakers may have blocked your computer from searching certain sites. I don't know. They will also be able to see what sites you've visited, unless you click to them through an email or through yahoo answers.

If your caretakers are not treating you well, things will not get better. You have to tell a teacher at school.

You should visit this website -- it is an organisation which defends children's interests if they are in public care:
http://www.vcc-uk.org
here is their email: info@voiceyp.org
Write to them and tell them what you said to us on Yahoo Answers.

Here is another national charity which deals with cruelty to children.
Their kids' site is: http://194.73.130.199/home/index.asp
Their regular site:
http://www.nspcc.org.uk/html/home/home.htm

Also contact: http://www.childline.org.uk/
free number, call from any phone 0800 1111
Do not worry, these people will help you!

With regard to making friends, you should try to meet people your age. You can seach through youth groups on the site below for the part of London you are in. It may help for you to do sports or some other activity. These people will help you with that.

Good luck, take care Alex, I hope things get better for you and your siblings.

Hopefully you are allowed to go to school! But maybe school hasn't started in your area. If it has, it's very important that you tell anyone at school who will listen and who you feel comfortable with. It can be a teacher, a school nurse, a counselor, even the lunch room lady. Please, please get some help from somebody. Your brother's life depends on it. I feel awful for him.

If it's not time for school to start yet you may have to try to sneak out of the house at night and try to get help. Do you have any friends who live nearby? You could ask their parents for help. Do you go to church, boy scouts, music lessons, anything? You need help from another adult, you guys cannot do this on your own.

Anyway, you and your brother do NOT have to live like this. It is NOT your fault and you kids deserve a good home.

Considering this is true... You should try to escape and report the man for abuse first of all. About your brother, he obviously needs hospital treatment. If you are allowed out of the house or can escape or whatever, 999/112/911 are always FREE numbers to call!!

Call your local Department of Social Services and don't be afraid to do so. Don't waste any more time than you already have. The so called man of the house is a dangerous person. He needs to be dealt with by the authorities

Hot black coffee helps with asthma attacks.

I don't want to sound mean, but if this is some sort of joke, it is not a funny one. If it is not a joke and you are the oldest get help from someone at school, or a neighbor.Do what you can to get you and your siblings out of harms way.GOOD LUCK.

oh my god! if this is true then its horribal and if you can get out of your house and tell someone do! i no it will be hard but try ok?
about yor brother: if he has no inhaler to help the attacks then they will continue to get worse, he needs to get to a hospital urgantly! black coffe helps, and if you tell him to breath in through his nose out through his mouth this will keep him calmer. i no form experiance,(i am badly asthmatic) that if you can not prevent asthma attacks they will get worse very quickly, i dont want to worry you but your brother could die from a bad attack, so you have to do something!

about being you mate, i will be if you like :D

i hope things get better for you

You need to get help, and FAST! Ask a trusted teacher, or someone to help you. Call 911 and tell them your story. There are caring people out there that will get you and your sibblings to a better place, and your little brother needs medical help.
