I love LOST. Can't wait until October 4th!
Here are a few thoughts:
- I think the monster takes different forms for each person
- Everyone is connected somehow...it will interesting to see if they actually figure it out, or if we are the only ones who know
- Magnetic force on the island has healing properties...and, it's what prevents people from seeing it (except for the when the button isn't pushed)
- Locke & Eko are still alive (they can't kill those 2 characters...they are critical)
- The Others have been able to watch the losties (and the tailies). They live on another island (Pala Island?) and they use the Pala Ferry to go back & forth at their leisure. (this is the same ferry boat at end of Season 1 (where they take Walt) and that they gave to Michael. There is probably only one route they can go to espcape the force of the island. I'm not really sure I get their purpose...it seems like they are looking for the good/special ones, but not sure what they do w/ them - maybe start a new pure community.
- Jack & Kate will get together (and first several episodes focus on relationship tension w/ the 3 of them. Besides, it would be too Oedipal if Kate & Sawyer got together....Or wait, actually that's an Electra complex...but, you get my drift.
- Locke's dad is the real "Sawyer."
- Not sure who "Him" is...the producers said we saw him during Season 2 but didn't realize it...so I'm guessing it's one of the flashbacks, but I have no idea which...and, they said that BEFORE the finale, so I don't think it's Penny's dad.
- Desmond will be back and in more episodes w/ more flashbacks. The producers alluded to this in one of their podcasts.

I think you'll find that this question has come up several times in the past, a quick peek at the 'discover' section should give you plenty of ideas to ponder.
I love the show and personnaly find that the best theories can be found on the offical and unoffical LOST sites.
There's also a site by the project behind the 'Karma Project' that claims to have answers - but it involves looking around the internet for clues and I haven't been bothered yet.

Nobody can find the island because of the magnetic shield that surrounds it. Desmond turns off the shield and island is found at the season two finale episode. I don't really know what's goin to happen to kate, jack and sawyer but I do hope that michael comes back and saves them... what a bastard he is. I know that they are adding some new characters so we will see how that plays out.

i love LOST..................................i watch it all the time..............idk some parts can be confusing cause it is like impossible for anyone ot find the island or leave the island.............. the others are extremely unpredictable...................just when you think they are doing something you think is horrible they turn around and do something that no one would expect................but it got me hooked and now i have to watch it every week!
