they just dont make goth music like they used to. Remember Static-X? Good times...Dont get me wrong, Marilyn Manson, Disturbed, Black Label Society and some others are still goin strong, but mostly todays 'new' goth music is punk infused s***. AFI is ok...but still a little punky.
Comeon...wheres the good stuff???
Anyway...what are some pretty new bands that do hard core goth out rock like Static-X (im a BIG FAN OF STATIC-X)?

Ditto with Ophelia. None of these bands are goth. No. Not even Static-X.
That doesn't mean they're good or bad...just that they are not included in this particular genre of music. That would be like claiming Elvis was a country musician. He may have borrowed elements of country, but he was not. Is this a good analogy?
If you want real old school, you should look into the goth bands of the late 70's / early 80's.

None of those bands are actual gothic music. Goth rock is stuff like Cruxshadows, Sisters of Mercy, or Skinny Puppy. Its hard rock you're into, hon. Rock on.
