haha well if you are just starting out avoid hills. You will have a hard time getting up them. Also when you park put the emergency brake on PLUS put it in a gear so thre is zilch chance of it rolling.

Listen to the motor as you drive it will shift better at some RPMs that others...learn to double cluch in once just a little to take it out of gear then in alittle more to put in back in gear ...keep your foot off the cluch when you are not using it saving the throw out bearing an cluch...

Balance its all about balancing the clutch and the gas. I taught my self how to balance the car by going to a local parking lot with a hill and once you learn how to slowly pull yourself up without popping the clutch or rolling backwards you are officially a pro.

Find somwhere to practice with little or no traffic and get comfortable with the clutch.espically taking off when sitting on a hill.

Start in 1st match your speed to the gear, use your gears to help your brakes slow down.

Yes if they break down you can put them in neutral and roll them back to jump start no cables needed.
