Why do you want to wear a Tampon if you haven't had a period. If you mean trying them to see how they feel...fair enough, but don't leave it in more than a couple of hours without changing it...same as when you have a period.

Omg to the illiterate netspeak freak somewhere above me: Read the box. It says do not wear tampons between menstration. You can get TSS anytime you are wearing a tampon without enough blood flow. The less blood the lower absorbancy tampon you wear. No blood, you don't wear one at all.

I'm guessing you now have your period and yes it is safe to wear one but start with the smallest size and work your way up to the size that is most appropriate for your menstral flow. Be sure to read the insert that comes with your box of tampons it is full of valuable information!!!!!

no! when you take it out it will feel like you are ripping your guts out. The thing that helps a tampon come out is the lubrication from the mucus in the blood. You could very easily get toxic shock syndrom by wearing one without a period.

No it's not safe, you could get toxic shock syndrome. Are you doing this to try out tampons before getting your period? Don't!

Why would you wear a tampon if you're not on your period?! That's just stupid! Atre you trying to impress someone by saying "Oh yeah, i wear a tampon." And no, it's not safe but it's also stupid!

apparently not, as it causes TSS, Toxic Shock Syndrome. which you could get when on a period if leaving a tampon in too long, but the chances are slimmer. why would you want to? pantyliners are much safer before and after. look it up.

why would you want to wear one if your period hasn't started--
there is a thing called toxic shock syndrom though rare
if your worried about a bit of leakage when you start get a panty liner and wear it a day or two before you supposed to start
DO NOT USE A TAMPON AS A FORM OF BIRTH CONTROL
