I reformatted my pc and installed windows xp but when i turn on the pc everything seems to run but the monitor doesnt respond.

after the format did you load the drivers for the video card again?

You've probably already have done this, but check both your connections (power,serial) and make sure to turn the power on your monitor......

Is your computer under warranty???
If it is call customer support......

If not you can get customer support for free on-line from another computer, just have model # and serial # ready

make sure the monitor is turned on, plugged in, and properly connected to the tower - it sounds retarded, i know, but these steps need to be gone through, before any other solution is tried. that's as far as i can help. sorry and good luck.

You probably bumped the cord to the monitor...somtimes the simplest things make us thing much too hard...

unplug and replug the moniter (from the computer and from the electric socket)
