The popular myth was that Yoko Ono broke up the Beatles but it was really a dispute over who would be their new business manager.
Here are a couple of links that will go into more detail about their break up. http://beatlesnumber9.com/breakup.html and http://www.straightdope.com/mailbag/mbeatlesbreakup.html And no, Yoko Ono didn't kill John Lennon.

She did not break up the beatles, she just wanted to get John Lennon to explore his creative side. It is not her fault if she was right, and that the beatles were holdinhg him down creativly. Would it be better if she satyed with the group and rememaind unhappy with his work and life.

When The Beatles manager, Brian Epstein, died began the break-up of The Beatles. After this they had to try to deal their money on their own and find a new manager. They had many arguements and tensions began. Yoko definitely added to these tensions.

mark chapman killed lennon in front of his home, the spinless bastard! as far as her breaking up the band, i'm sure she was a contributing factor but the beatles had problems before yoko came along. it is sad we lost the music of a much loved band, and even sadder that we've lost two of its members forever, lets not forget george harrison
