....like Christina Aguilera, like Justin Timberlake (a few years ago), and that British blonde girl (can't think of her name) that sang "I'm Spoiled" (I can picture the video...) -- are they flattered by it or annoyed that people are trying to 'use' their style for make a ton of money.... What do they think of those white guys who act black (where I grew up they were called "wiggers" -- no offense but that's what they were called...)

Theres no such thing as Sounding or Acting like any particular race. I think there is a such thing as singing different types of genres. Such as Soul, RnB, hip/hop. There are all different races that are urban and have just as much or maybe even more soul than the next person. I wouldn't be annoyed or bothered. I appreciate different races singing all types of music. It just shows that we all have a common love..music.

They have loved how the (non-black) singers have sounded like them for years!!! One time, this non-black singer named Elvis did record a bunch of music that was already being done by the Afro Americans and it did make the music go to the top of the world and they did love this. It did help them to finally get going on something they had done for years and nobody knew about it.

Personally as an American woman, I could care less because I'm not even an African American. I have never been to or lived in Africa, as most black folk haven't. They can take on who and whatever image that fits for them. Look at Ray Charles-he sang country music. You don't think they said the same thing about him. We as a people need to stop rationalizing everything that we see as "BLACK". We will never overcome downing folks-black,white, or otherwise!
LOL & Be Good...=)

um justin and christina are ok because i dont think there trying to sound black i just think that they have a lot of soul in there voice(especially christina) and when people imitate our culture its very flattering (i think) as long as there not making fun of it and acceptting it. And the white guys who act black.......hum.........thats harrd because some times thats how they feel most comfortable and thats how they really are but some times they treat it like a fad and that pissess me off. and its very obvious thay u are not a racest by your word choices and who ever said that is just trying to start drama

you're possibly racist and in all probability do no longer comprehend it. this is why...... in case you place a extreme value on visual attraction (which it form of feels which you do) to the component of growing to be it the foremost element in mate decision, then you rather are in reality announcing which you view human beings you're extra attracted to as genetically improved (or extra worth for mating). it relatively is area of the technological know-how we call "organic decision". So with the aid of classifying an entire team of persons as being unattractive on your style, you're relatively announcing you does not mate with any of them. once you classify an entire team as being undeserving for mating, you're in reality calling them genetically no longer worth of breeding with you and that's racist.
