2 years ago we had new neighbers who thought they own my fence. They said it was on their land.I was painting the fence and my son walk on the other side, where i was sure about the fence ,being on my land.They call police,because they had no trust passing.Then they spray painted the ground right beside the fence aput up 10 orange pipes,which they servey with a compass. I said they cant do that because I knew near the road my pipe was about 5 feet away.I pick up the pipes and lay them near the road.they call police again. Police told them they can't do their with own serveying unless license.They said no--.Now two year later,they had their land servey, they found out we both were right.All the fence is on my land except the last section,at the bottom..my neighber came out and said,while yelling at me she is getting the best lawyer,and taking me to court, and I will be paying for her serveyer.I want to move my fence, she won't let me she had a no trusting signs put up after.

Call the city and ask them

Legally, the portion of the fence that is on their land belongs to them. They can do whatever they want with it. As for the survey, they would have to win a judgment against you on other grounds in order to claim the survey costs as necessary to support that claim. If the fence was there when they bought the property, they should have found out before they bought it.

Nope! It should have been surveyed before they bought the home!

Move your last section and ignore them. If you have to, get a restraining order!

I am so sorry to heal about your situation, but I know some attorneys that can help you with it, if interested, IM me or email me for more info. I love my guard dog attorneys, they don't let anyone push me around.
