A great waiter-- dude or chick, can make amazing tips regardless of chains, and although your requests might vary from chain to chain, chosing a restaraunt that cares about quality can help you to help!

ConsumerReports and AOL released a list of the best chain restaraunts.

When in college, I earned incredible tips working at a Mexican Food Restaraunt, the Hyatt, and believe it or not, International House of Pancakes.. Waited on everyone from Red Skelton, Ziggy Marley, Scott Hamilton, to a family of homeless people on their way through town and trying to make ends meet.

How:

1. Great service is something you give unconditionally to be rewarded liberally. Don't judge, serve. Do this well, fairly and for all people, and you can not help but prosper.

2. Listen and deliver. People really care that you bring your personality and interest in serving them well.

3. Remember your regulars, and they will reward you.

4. Look people in the eye, check in, and remember the basics. Make an error, use charisma to acknowlege their order and correct it. Folks don't care so much that mistakes are made, if they are corrected. Folks DO care being ignored or made to feel as if they are an inconvenience.

Hawaii is one of the best paying locations for waiters-- Sand and Sun is nice too. :D

I imagine Hooter's waitresses earn pretty high tips.
