I received a positive surge on cycle day 17. Had sex on cycle day 18, 19 & 20. I started to spot on cycle day 22 (and I am still spotting and im on cycle day 24. I had my progesterone level done today and the nurse called me back and said my level was 8.59 (which means i ovulated I think). Should I be worried about the spotting right now? Is it to early for me to do a pregnancy test

Ovulation is associated with an increase in estrogen level. A time whem a woman feel wet. You said that you have positive surge on day 17, then you might be ovulating and have sex the following day then you might get pregnant. Remeber that the sperm cell can survive in the uterus for 2days! If you want to be sure if you are pregnant use pregnancy test. It can be use even on a one day miss period and it is 99% accurate.

You were probably 6 days past ovulation when you had your prog. checked so 8.59 at 6dpo indicates ovulation. I wouldn't worry about the spotting--it could be irritation or just unexplained bleeding. Best of luck to you!
