I agree with the first two answers, but there is so much more to it. Some ways to disrespect are:
>talk down to someone as if they are inferior to you, not equal to you
>abusing by hitting, screaming, pushing, calling someone names, demanding that someone do or not do things because you said so, being controlling, etc
>not talking nice to or about someone
>be jeaolus of someone or of the person that someone is talking to or that has looked at them (this is also childish)
>not minding your manners around them at all times, no matter what
>anything that you wouldn't like done to or said about you
The description of respect in the Merriam Webster Dictionary is:
Noun
1. relation to something usu. specified. Regard. 2. High or special regard (esteem) 3. expression of respect or defernece 4. detail, prticular
It also has this description:
Verb
1. to consider deserving of high regard (esteem) 2. to refrain from interfering with (another's privacy) 3. to have reference to (concern)
When you respect someone else, you care about them, their well being, are concerned about them and their welfare, don't talk down or bad to them, and always treat them as you would like yourself to be treated.

It would be easier if you learned 'what is' being a gentleman.
Put others first and make others as comfortable as you can.
Don't be a selfish person. That is easier than explaining what it is to disrespect. If you wouldn't want something done or said to your mom, grandmom, sister or little girl cousin, then it would most likely be something that disrepects a woman.

Disrespecting women or men or anyone for that matter is disrespecting yourself.
If you cannot give respect you can never be respected.
You can respect a person even if you disagree with them.
