My clownfish keeps swimming up to my heater and hitting its head against it. It now has a red spot on its face. What is it doing?

This is a saltwater female true percula. It will swim up to the heater and brush against it.

Is the parasite internal or is the red spot the problem?

Is this a saltwater clownfish or a fresh water clown loach?

Does it swim away very fast as it hits the heater? It may have internal parasites and what it is doing is called flashing. It will look like it is rubbing against things in the tank.

There are medicated fish foods for internal parasites.
