A karate expert and a Ju-jitsu expert?

Karate is mostly kicks, punches and strikes whereas Ju-jitsu involves grappling techniques: throws, locks and strangles.

Assume both fighters have same size, strength etc

You forgot to mention blocks in your 'mostly' list. The Karate expert wouldn't let the Ju-jitsu one land a blow.

According to my hypothesis, the Karate guy.

He would know, that there would be no way in hell, he could beat the Ju-jitsu guy.

He would be packing heat. I'd say, hmmmmmm...A 45 magnum
should do it.
