I don't know about bestest person on the planet, but there's someone I've always respected, who could be quite controversial given the current investigation into allegations over his stock purchases, and that's Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple.

Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak were gurus of their generation who created a viable alternative to the IBM / Microsoft monopoly, which at many times has been superior to their competitors offerings. More recently, the innovation of the ipod has literally changed the relationship millions of people have with music, transforming the way it's bought and experienced.

I also love the way that Steve Jobs was kicked out of his company by its board at one point and then managed to turn around the company upon his return. It's testimony to the sheer charisma and personal force of the guy that he could pull off a turnaround of so great a magnitude on a brand that was at one point almost written off.

Maybe not the 'bestest person' in the literal sense, but a noteworthy one for his turnaround of apple, his involvement in Dreamworks, and his role of CEO of the company that brought the world the Ipod.

Ok kay this is the realest answer I know:

Somewhere in a war ridden country today there is a woman who taught her child to love instead of hate.

Somewhere today there is a nurse who has not been paid or recognized in years who wakes up every morning and goes to work nontheless.

Somewhere today there is a very busy, very tired gentleman who gave up his place in line at the DMV to a mom with an infant in her arms.

Somewhere today there is a politian who has, dispite political pressure and threats against her own career and life, made a decision that will give joy to thousands of people, save thousands of lives, and make the lives of all people a little bit better.

Somewhere today there is a teacher who eats out of a paper sack and drives a ten year old car, and who gave away his last $20. to a kid whose parents would beat him if they ever found out he had lost his chemistry book.

Somewhere today is a heartbroken little boy who has cheerfully given up his best friend to another. That the dog might bring joy to a family that had lost its home. You will never see his tears because he belives they are selfish.

Somewhere today there is an old man who picks up the trash by the road..no one has asked him to do it and no one in this life will ever thank him.. he gives the recyclables to a homeless man and goes home to his family who call him senile and "whacked out".

Somewhere today there is a nation that dispite being daily threatened and encapsulated by eniemies allows all its people religious and individual freedom.

And I believe they all deserve the recognition that the world in it's temporary shortsightedness will never give them.

May God bless you and keep you all! Shabbat Shalom

Well, the media is always so wrapped up with giving us the scoop on the worst of the worst people.......but there's a lot of people behind the scenes that never are mentioned. One that I did hear just briefly about was a lady that was rescuing the animals in Lebanon that are homeless and left to fend for themselves. Also people that do things everyday unselfishly to help others. I wish I could have the resources to be more like that.

My friend, Miss D. I live in the UK, she in the US. I've known her for years but a while back we had a big fight. Then recently we made up and tonight we had a good long chat for the first time in forever and it's made me all warm and fuzzy. So she's the best person on the planet right at this moment, in my opinion anyway!

You are dear. You are totally unique there is no other person just like you.

At this moment there is someone who loves you, some one who would die for you, someone who thinks your cheeky and a ton of people that care about you.

So if your looking for the "bestest" person look right in the mirror cause they are looking at you
