No, I think he is delusional and thinks in his mind he is the killer, but there are some pretty glaring contridictions.
Like when he talked about picking her up from school (school was out), he wasn't in Boulder according to his ex wife, the drug he said he used and also he said he had intercourse with her, which apparently the killer didn't.
The only other reason I thought of he might lie is to get the US to get him out of Thailand since he was up on charges there. Maybe he thinks a US jail would be better than a Thai one.
Some of his emails he wrote to the prof in Colo. were also pretty out of touch with reality since he referred to her as present tense instead of past tense (like she was still alive).
I really wish they had found the killer, so they could make kids everywhere a little safer, but I don't think this guy's it.

In typical media fashion, there was a rush to announce the guilty party had been found.
In typical US Legal System fashion, there will be some technicality that will keep true justice from being served.
There must be something substantial enough to merit extradition from half-way around the world ... but also sounds like enough inconsistencies to write the guy off as a publicity seeking nut-case ... or perhaps one sharp enough to spend the rest of his life in a US jail instead of one in SE Asia.
Time will tell. But at this point, the claim seems pretty dubious.

I believe he is trying to get attention, especially since jon benet's mother recently died. On the other hand, he is a pedophile. The DNA is being tested and then we will know.

No. I believe he was facing potential charges in Thailand, and decided to confess so that he'd face jail in America instead of a Thai jail. He's outfoxed the authorities. He'll be tried in the U.S., found not guilty, allowed to go free, write a book that gets turned into a blockbuster movie, and retire with millions of dollars in the bank - all thanks to the media and law enforcement officials who wanted so badly to keep this sensational crime alive. -RKO-

I don't think so, because the media has reported inconsistencies between his claims and the actual facts they already had.

I think he was in trouble in Thailand and he prefers our justice system to theirs. Wait until he gets back on US soil, he will change his story.

no. he's just a wierdo wanting attention. he may actually THINK he did it, with his apparent obsession with the case. but, sounds like he could not have been there. certainly did not pick her up from school like he said.
