Okay first of a 2-3 hour shop is quite a long time to be on your feet even with breaks. You need to start taking it easy (enjoy it because pretty soon you won't be able to!)
When a female body is preparing for birth all the ligaments, joints and muscles (especially around the pelvic/lower area) loosen up in preparation for the work ahead. This why you get lots of back pain etc as the surrounding muscles are just not as strong as they were.
After birth the muscles will gradually go back to normal. In the meantime avoid any activity which you know causes these pains and don't get hung up about what everything other people are doing while pregnancy. Some people breeze through it while unfortunately some suffer terribly. Just see it as a good excuse to do nothing and be waited on hand and foot for the next 9 weeks or so. Good luck!

I have the same problem, I am 36 weeks along and I have been having a sharp pain in the area of my vagina that hurts when I move since early pregnancy. I also have 3 bulging discs in my back and osteoarthritis in my back from a motorcycle accident when I was 15. Most days I can barely walk it hurts so much, my hubby jokes that I look like a little old lady walking and I am only 21. Plus I have to keep up with a 2 1/2 year old. I feel your pain, I can't take anything but tylenol that doesn't help most of the time. I make myself work through the pain because I want a clean house for the baby and my toddler, I tell my husband if he wants to have sex he has to give me a full body massage first to help me feel better, so I get a massage just about everynight. All I can say is hang in there, I know it hurts, but you will have a beautiful little boy or girl to show for it, and you will forget all those pregnancy symptoms and labor pains as soon as you see that baby. Good Luck and feel free to contact me for more advice.

Its your body getting ready to give birth. The hormone during pregnancy that relaxes all your joints is doing its dirty work now. I had the same issues when I was pregnant.
During my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies, I saw a chirpractor all through and it helped sooooo much. A good one can adjust your spine and pelvis as the baby grows.

If your doctor isn't taking you and your pain seriously then you should go to another doctor and get a 2nd opinion. Your doctor should be taking your concerns and your well being very seriously - especially since you are pregnant.

All pregnancies are different. Your baby is probably pressing down on nerves and such, which makes it painful for you. Hope you feel better soon, and Congrats on the baby!
