I have my cousins all come to my house. We have 50+ people here over a 3 day period. We have a pool and 4 bathrooms. The biggest cost factor will be lodging and transportation. Try a church hall or a group like the Lions Club or VFW hall. Many places do wedding receptions and should be able to do that also. I would avoid the big cities. Where is everyone coming in from?

We usually have it on a similar park in accordance to annum. the more youthful generations are spread out global, so our reunions at the on the spot are almost continuously elders (80's and ninety's) alongside with the subsequent era (50's, 60's and 70's) very few any youthful than that. It has declined from a pair hundred human beings to round 100-100 and fifty human beings. i'm particular there'll come an afternoon even as our kinfolk reunions will be a element of the previous, because there is surely not sufficient kinfolk who stay interior of a sensible distance to attend.

Well, if you lived in my community in upstate New York, you could reserve my American Legion hall. We have a nice large facility including a commercially-furnished kitchen and we rent the place out for quite reasonable cost. You'll have such a hall in or very near your community and all you need to do is look around. It may be a VFW hall or an Amvets hall. All such organizations are very community-minded and almost always willing to let folks rent the hall for various occasions. Reunions? Sure. Wedding receptions? Yah, and we'll even let ya in a couple hours early to decorate the place. A big birthday bash? Of course!
Do be aware that quite often you'll be expected to clean up after yourselves...we don't have enough folks available at my post to provide a cleaning service after every event we allow, so users are required to carry out their trash and clean up spills and the like. But in return you get to rent a first-class facility for literally peanuts. Check 'em out!

We have had our family reunion consecutively for over 10 years and we prefer a laid-back, casual location. We choose to have our family reunion at a local city park and we rent a pavilion for the occasion. The kids have plenty to do... playground equipment. The teens usually get a game of volleyball going. There's horseshoes and washers, plus we have plenty of games for the kids. Even if it rains, we have shelter and can still have fun... the games for the kids can be under the pavilion. We even have a miniature putting green where all can test their skill and win prizes.

It would depend on where you all are coming from, but for me I would arrange a picnic BBQ in a state park; such as Yosemite, but then I am in California.
You might look for something located centrally to where your family is coming from. That way no one will be burdened to travel further than others. Might cause hard feelings.
Good luck!

1)Phoenix, at one of the resorts. They are inexpensive in the summer, and will usually offer good group rates. Plus PHX is inexpensive to get to from just about anywhere (think Southwest Airlines).
2) Hilton Head Island ... pretty, and lots of accommodations.
3)Hawaii - who doesn't want to go to Hawaii?
4)New York ... lots of hotels, lots to do.
My money is still with Phoenix.

Try renting a part of a park , we have done it , and instead of catering the food , have everybody bring something of their choice .that will be enough for everybody.
go to your local municipal building to inquire where and when they have an opening....happy reunion.

Las Vegas! Plenty of hotel rooms, 24-hour gambling, free booze, inexpensive buffets, hot and cold running hookers, and what happens there, stays there.
