Chaos theory is quoted as saying that if a butterfly flaps it's wings, it can create a thunderstorm thousands of miles away. So if all the Chinese get together - can they create a typhoon if they sneeze?

According to chaos theory they can.

Except I'm not so sure if I believe in chaos theory. :))))))))

Yes. Taking create to mean "but for the collective sneeze event, the typhoon in question would not have occurred". Weather is a chaotic system and like all chaotic systems, small perturbations change the future course of events. The sneeze is a small perturbation relative to the global atmosphere (I think-- I haven't done the calculation and maybe it is bigger than I think), but even so, it will affect the future course of the weather. A typhoon that occurs will be different from that which would have occurred in a hypothetical world where the sneeze did not happen, and indeed, there may even be an extra typhoon that season vs. the hypothetical other world without the sneeze.

Whether that hypothetical other world could actually have occurred is another question entirely...

I would say perhaps unless this is sometype of riddle or something. Interestingly enough I was told the other day that some scientists got together and put a website up getting people across the world to jump simultaneously at the same time because the long term effects of it would benefit the world and move it slightly off its current course benefitting the earth and every living thing on it. So long story short you may be on to something although I don't know if sneezing ppl would benefit anyone.

If all Chinese sneeze together, they will create a surge in the stock prices for companies selling Kleenex and flu shots / medicines.

Look up your science books for typhoons.

Let's get down to business - to defeat the Huns
Did they send me daughters when I asked for sons?
You're the saddest bunch I've ever met
But you can bet before we're through
Mister, I'll make a man out of you

Tranquil as a forest
But on fire within
Once you find your center
You are sure to win
You're a spineless, pale pathetic lot
And you haven't got a clue
Somehow I'll make a man out of you

I'm never gonna catch my breath
Say goodbye to those who knew me
Boy, was I a fool in school for cutting gym
This guy's got 'em scared to death
Hope he doesn't see right through me
Now I really wish that I knew how to swim

Be a man
We must be swift as the coursing river
Be a man
With all the force of a great typhoon
Be a man
With all the strength of a raging fire
Mysterious as the dark side of the moon

Time is racing toward us till the Huns arrive
Heed my every order and you might survive
You're unsuited for the rage of war
So pack up, go home you're through
How could I make a man out of you?

Be a man
We must be swift as the coursing river
Be a man
With all the force of a great typhoon
Be a man
With all the strength of a raging fire
Mysterious as the dark side of the moon

Be a man
We must be swift as the coursing river
Be a man
With all the force of a great typhoon
Be a man
With all the strength of a raging fire
Mysterious as the dark side of the moooooon

No the collective release of energy would shift earth's axis AND cause us to plummet into the sun, which does have flares/storms BUT no typhoons.

Actually it would probably serve to prevent one. The wind from the sneezes would create wind shear, which tropical cyclones don't work well in.
