It depends, but most of the smaller ones only pay minimum wage ($7.50/hr in Oregon). Some of the higher priced centers pay a little more in the larger cities and if you were to work with state programs like Head Start, I suspect they would also pay more than minimum wage.

A good way to find out for sure is to look in the classified in the local newspaper and at the Oregon Employment Office job listings (http://www.employment.oregon.gov/) for a city you are considering working in. If you go to the advanced search you can enter the keyword of preschool and pull up job listings with pay rates and experience levels. Most are minimum wage for entry level, and go up to about $11/hr for experienced teachers.
