Great question!!! The reason they don't have to identify themselves is so they can slink back into the corner they came from and be the cowards they are.

I've never reported or been reported, but I hope you at least get to see what was said in the report and get a chance to refute it, who cares who it was that reported you as long as you can fight it. that's the way I see it, and yahoo should give an answer in like 60 minutes, and if the reporter, reports to many times say 10 times a day, or 20 times a day, thay should justify why thay report so many people. and the number should be based on the number of questions that thay answer on average.

I pretty much always tell a person when I am going to report them, why wouldn't I? I want them to know why I reported them as well and I tell them that also, I report a lot of people because the don't seem to care that children come on this site and I figure if you don't care about that then why should you be allowed to be on here either, people don't always have to be so rude and vulgar, and when they are like that it shows that they are very unintelligent people

Not sure..I mean if you know who did it you'd be out for vengence..I would like to know in detail of why it was reported though..Some just have lame excuses or just dont like what ya have to say..well if we all agree to disagree then it'd go alot smoother..there are alot of prudes on here..but humor is unique..& few can appreciate it..=)

Well, no not really. I mean it would keep a lot of people from reporting the ones that really DO need reporting - just from fear of revenge.
So even if some good questions and answers wind up being reported, it's better to keep it anonymous. Just for saftey's sake.

I think THEY should loose points for reporting and have to write in detail exactly why they are reporting and that is send with the violation notice to you!

I don't mind if anyone knows that I have reported them. I don't know yet how I feel about being informed of someone.

well if you have to go to court in the good old USA not only can you find out who it is but it is one of your rights to face your accuser. ya Your rights they have to let you know its against the law not too. Are you guilty before you are proven Innocent?
