I'm almost 21wks pregnant and have been feeling the baby moving since week 16 and from the outside I could feel him around 18wks!!! This is my 1st pregnancy and the doctor only asked if I was feeling movements.....he didn't say how often I should be feeling them. From what you women have experienced about how many times a day and for how long should I feel him? I usually don't until I'm lying in bed or when I come back to bed in the middle of the night after using the bathroom! Thanks!!!!

It's pretty random at times depending on the baby's position, if he's facing back, you won't feel much at all. If you think you're not feeling enough, try drinking a glass of orange juice, and lay on your left side for a half hour or so. The sugar in the juice should get him moving, and if you're still you'll feel it more. He's probably moving more than you think, when you're busy around the house, or out and about, you won't noptice it as much. If you go several hours without noticing any movement and the juice trick isn't doing it, you can call and get an ultrasound just to doublecheck, most Dr's are very good about that! Best wishes!

As the babys size and weigh increase throughout pregnancy,so does the activity you feel.Your babys movements will become more frequent and vigorous.Your baby will move at different times different amounts, you can do a fetal kick count by laying on your left side for 30-60 minutes. You should feel at least 5 movements in one hr,10 movements in two hrs.

My well being care service stated that formerly you're twenty eighth week, you could flow some days with out feeling your infant flow and this is completely generic. yet he then stated that once 28 weeks, you want to sense him/her flow on a on a daily basis foundation and if now to not call as we talk. this is been my rule of thumb. even as i became 18 weeks the baby became kicking each now and back. She did not extremely %. up moves not ordinary till about 23 weeks. i'm at present very nearly 28 weeks and she strikes about another hour!

When I was 21 weeks I was only feeling her move right after lunch and then when I went to bed. Don't worry about it yet. I'm finally getting to the part where I feel her move about once every two hours (and she is quite a mover and shaker) at 27 weeks.

You may not feel that baby move but when your in bed I know that is the way it was with both my girls. I think they say if you don't feel them move withen 24 hours call. But there were days when I didn't feel either of them. They were moving I was just to busy living to notice. You're baby is fine. Just pay attention.
