If i dont get this answer i will fail this worksheet and its Algebra 1 the problem is 1 - n/5 = 12 what does "n" equal any help is appreciated.

-n/5 = 12-1
-n/5 = 11
-n = 11×5
n = -55

The problem appears simpler if you multiply both sides by 5:
5 - n = 60, then solve
-n = 55
n = -55

Simply do the opposite of division and work backwords. Multiply 5 by 12 and you'll get the answer. Hope I helped!

if the problem is 1 - n/5 and 5 is only below the "n".

5x13=65
