Do I really need to sign a deal with a record label to have my cd sold in stores, or can I just pay the owner of ex: Best Buy to sell my cd's in their store?

I agree with your first answer. You may also have better luck negotiating with the corner drug store, dollar stores or independently owned quick stops like 7-11.

Also you can send your demo's to radio stations to get your music out there.

Set up a booth at festivals & sidewalk sales too.

Best of luck to you.'

You'd have better luck at a small independently owned store than a big chain. Chain stores are either franchised or run by a board not one "owner'.

uhh yeah.. Target and Best buy only sell from companies that they have agreements with such as arista and sony.

They don't do local indie
