When I went to see Hostel, which is probably one of the bloodiest movies I've ever seen, a mother brought about 4 kids in ages 10 and under. Same thing when I went to see the movie See No Evil, a movie in which a guy plucks eyeballs out. Why don't they just wait until the movie comes out on DVD and watch it late after their kids go to bed.

I wouldn't take them to the movies, but I did when my kids were younger allow them to watch the movies at home, where I could explain things to them. My kids love them the scarier and grosser the better.
This question is one of those that are contraversial, some for some against.
It is a personal choice, how you raise your children, I prefer not to hide any thing in life from my kids and they are the same way with thier kids.
Street wise, Life wise, aware. and They can choose. Kids are smarter than a lot of people think they are.
Again this is just my opinion.

some kids like me could or can handle gore at that age and finds it interesting.i mean id brather be with my kids watching something like that if they wanted to see it than have them watch it by therselves in secret.although if the kids dont enjoy gore its a horrible idea that could give them mental isues. sexual content though people should make sure in the ratings that it doesnt say anything about sexual content becauyse people under age 12 should not be wathching sex scenes in movies even though they arnt always graphic.by age thirteen kids hear worse at school.

R they even allowed to take them in? I thought the R rating meant it could only be seen by people over 18, not just that you had be accompanied by someone over 18!!! If this is the case, the ratings should become more strict.

I think thedy should ban all kids under 10 from restaraunts and movies. nothing like a bunch of rotten kids being loud and ruining your fun.

They shouldn't bring their kids. Hire a babysiter and get him/her to watch the kids. What does that have to do with music?
