First answer: "Looking at questions like this makes me ask myself if anyone can help the 'Yahoo-Answers' population!!!!?"

OK...that was snotty and premature and I just now clicked on the link...where the real question is...and somebody way down the list said it better than I ever could... ie: just be proactive...go around and ask all kinds of kids the important questions... like "do you want more career exploration opportunities" and "could you use more relevant classes in school...more connected to the real world so we know what we're in for..." and "do you want governmental officials to be more available to kids so they can understand more without our having to beg..."
And I do apologize... I probably looked like one more reason why kids get so desperate in the first place! It was a really good question after all!
