Could be cold.Be prepared for it. History? Walk the entire Freedom Trail. Chidren's Museum is excellent. The Museum of Science is great. Fanueil Hall in Quincy Market Place for history and great food, (If you see old Ben Franklin tell him I said hello) . Visit Lexington and Concord . In Concord, visit the Old North Bridge where the "shot heard 'round the world " was fired, as well as the museum on the hill. Also, Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, where, on Author's Ridge, you will find the graves of Nathaniel Hawthorne, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, and Louisa Mae Alcott, all very close to each other. Visit nearby Salem, Mass. where the witch trials were held(visit the museum), where Nathaniel Hawthorne grew up and lived and worked as a harbomaster clerk, and visit the House of Seven Gables. I recommend reading Fodor's travel guide. Downtown Boston is very walkable, the subway , known as the ' T ' is old, well kept, and very efficient, and easy to use. Legal Sea Foods for a great dinner. Have a wonderful time. I'm sure you will enjoy Boston.

Boston can be very cold and snowy in Feb.I would suggest seeing the Quincy Market place and restaurants in the North end for great Italian food ! For entertainment there is the Medieval Manor which is a theater restaurant. The theater district is great for all kinds of plays . A booze cruise around the harbor is also nice. The museum of science is must see and so is the museum of fine arts. It's too bad your going in Feb the sring would actually ne nicer. He fun !

Boston is wonderful, a little cold but wonderful. Yes a lot like NYC.
See the Public Gardens and the Swan Boats. Take a walk on Charles Street near the Capitol.[old architecture and nice little coffee houses] Newbury Street is nice, the Prudential Building and the old Churches and the Boston Public Library. The Charles River and the Public Concerts are nice, just bring a blanket and a picnic. Enjoy your visit.

Boston in February is miserably cold in February, I lived there for two years.
In February, I'd stick with indoor things, such as the science museum. It's too cold for Duck boats, whale watch, Boston Common, and Freedom trail.
Boston is a wonderful city in the Summer, I don't care for it much in the winter.

Boston and NYC are very similar temperatures as far as February goes. However, Boston does tend to get more snow it seems, and I don't really know why. . . . .Boston has a lot to see. You can follow the Freedom Trail, and Paul Revere's Ride and see lots of historic sites from that era. Also, check out the museums, waterfront, theater and shopping.

Colder than New York with good chance of snow, but always a great place to visit.
Type: Boston into the search engine on this page: http://www.thetravelzine.com/TTarchive/index.html and you'll be able to read TheTravelzine group's opinions on must-sees, etc.

Be sure to pack a very warm coat for it will be very cold. BUT it will be worth your while to go there. It is so much fun. The witch museum is fun (this might be in Salem), you sit on the floor and on the walls of this big room you see images of the salem witch trials. There is also the historical tour where you follow this big red line all around town and check out the homes of our fore fathers. Then there is always the Cheers locations. It is fun, so please go

February is no time to visit Boston.
Head for San Francisco, go to the Opera and enjoy the good Restaurants and Fisherman's Wharf. Or go to La Jolla and visit the Seals.
Or visit Carmel and drive the Pacific Coast Highway.
