Can you be a clown just to see others laugh/smile?

It's something I enjoy a great deal. It's never pre-planned though. I'd never make it as a comedian. I think it's the spontaneity that I like. There's something, maybe a chemical, that produces itself that makes spontaneous laughter contagious.
If the clowning allows me to preserve my honor, then, yes I can be a clown. Being a mostly serious minded person, my clowning exhibitions are rare to come by. So, when I am clowning, people are laughing their head off.

I live for the moment where I make someone I care about smile or laugh. It keeps me going. I have always loved giving gifts to people because I love seeing if they like my gift. Even though I hate clowns, I can see why people go into the profession.

Definitely, laugh. The expression of smiling comes on first and then it broadens into a laughter. Laughter is invigorating and contagious and attracts more crowds. It also uses less muscles to accomplish. A lot of comedians are successful in this field especially when they tell self-depreciatory jokes.. Laugh and the whole world laughs with you. Cry and you shall cry alone.

i would like to make others laugh by my wit & humor. you don't have to act like a clown to make others laugh. an intelligent or a humarous joke can make others laugh. smile .yes for that i should have a smiling face. that i don't mind. a sincere smile from u make others smile at u. i don't want to act clownish & become a laughing stalk.

Of course but like all characters, you need to know when to step back into reality, serious or otherwise. Whatever that reality might be for you. Sometimes humor can mask things rather than straightening them out. If you're using humor to hide some sort of struggle, you might try a different tack.
