To a limited extent, yes. There are many more people that have received the death penalty that actually deserved it. Here is a way to correct the mistakes... If a prosecuting attorney is successful in convicting an accused person of a crime and that person is put to death and later it is found that that person could be exonerated then the prosecuting attorney forfeits their own life as well. It would make the prosecutors much more accountable...

I've always said no. Death is to easy. Lethal injection is basically euthanasia. We do this to our pets everyday. They say that it's painless. I think rotting away day after day in prison for the rest of your life, always looking over your shoulder would be a worse punishment. You'd never know if it was your last day. On the other hand, if it was the killer of a loved one and I couldn't kill the sucker myself, I might change my mind and go with the death penalty. Hopefully, I'll never have to make that decision.

No, but only because it costs too much to implement. The average death penalty case, including years of appeals, runs more than one million dollars. Most of that is lawyers fees.

Nope. How would you feel if you passed sentence on someone and after the fact it was proven that this person was innocent? It has happened many times throughout history. Those of us who are true Christians have the 10 commandments that we try to live by. One of which clearly states "Thou shall not kill". There is no other verbage in that commandment.

Recidivism rate for executed murders is nil.

On the other hand, I also think that lifers should have their organs harvested, blood, platelets and marrow taken on regular basis - that way they can be contributing to society instead of continuing their parasitic ways.

In the end, we all die. Its just a matter of how we treat each other along the way.
