Praise where praise is due, but jeez! the WGN broadcasters have always been more than a bit biased...just like the TBS broadcasters.
It doesn't matter that WGN is "home" of the Cubs and W Sox, when Tim McCarver used to do the broadcasting for the Mets he would be so professional and impartial, i loved that about him! same goes for Ralph Kiner.

They are supposed to be somewhat partial, but not biased. NESN (the Red Sox cable network) has Jerry Remy, a former Red Sox player and beloved broadcaster, and he's completely fair. He's partial to the Sox, as he should be because all of his station's viewers are Red Sox fans, but he calls the plays correctly; if he thinks a player is out, or if a player didn't hustle or if a manager made a bad call, he'll say it and he'll say why. It always bugs me that announcers are allowed to be complete "homers" (openly rooting for the team to win). I have all the respect in the world for FSNE (Boston Celtics) broadcaster Tommy Heinsohn but he's a HORRIBLE commentator, he thinks every call should go to the Cs, and it makes the games tough to watch; I want to know what he thinks, not what he wants to have happen.

WGN is in Chicago. It seems appropriate to me to be biased for the home teams.

Well, considering that WGN is the Chicago station, they are there to cover the "home team".
