The only authentic science, named PHYSICS (in my view), answers not only to knowledge questions like: What?, When?, Where?, How? (it is happening) / (it happened), but also to the ultimate and crucial question → WHY ... ?
By this way, the Universe and its changes became predictable (to some extend).
None of the other scientific fields can answer completely to this question without using PHYSICS.
Nevertheless, they are quite nice to be studied, practiced and respected.

There are so many different facets of science and each has there own discipline of study. The posters above me defined the characteristics of each of the ones you listed. \There are so many different areas that it would take intense studying to figure it out. But the differences are basic. I am sure that between all the answers you will get.. you can combine them to get your answer.
You have Astronomy (study of the stars & universe) etc, etc, etc. It is so broad. you have social sciences... I guess this is a difficult question to answer since you have SOOO many different fields...
