My sister says that nothing makes her feel more warm and cuddly than when her husband cleans the bathroom. : - ) That sounds silly and just a little gross, but what she means is that she doesn't need grand gestures or flowers or violins, but to feel appreciated and considered in a sort of everyday way. I really like the idea of making her a special dinner. Or how about breakfast in bed (you're going to be up at weird hours because of jet lag anyway)? However, it will spoil the effect if you don't do the dishes!
If cooking isn't your best thing, I'm all for an expressive note or card. My husband gave me a lovely, romantic anniversary gift this year (a beautiful scarf) but it's just a thing. What I really loved was the card he wrote me, which I carry with me all the time.

How about sending her a dozen roses 11 reds and one white or another color and have a card say out of all these roses this single rose is special just like you are to me. That's what my ex husband did to me when i was pregnant with our son and he was deployed to Iraq, that make it really romantic for me. When he came home he took me out to dinner and pampered me with a foot rub, a warm bubble bath and a good night of just cuddling and tell each other how much we loved each other and he also made me breakfast in bed the next morning. Good Luck

Thank you for your service!
My wife says that you should put together a nice picnic and then bring her to a special place (lake, park, mountain) and do that for a while. Then when you go home draw her a nice hot bath with candles and join her.
Wouldn't all wives like that? Good luck. I am sure she will be psyched to have you back.

Awww, I bet she'll feel it's romantic for you to just be back home. :)
Other than that, you have to simply ask yourself what is it that she likes. Some women like flowers, others love going out to dinner, or dancing. If my husband cooked us a nice dinner for two, that would be a hell of a romantic gesture for me. An unexpected note expressing one's feelings is always appreciated.

well for one, try to stay in the states as long as possible!
haha, but that aside, I would suggest recreating your first date (if it was good). Or the day you proposed or any other day that meant alot to the two of you and your future.
and if all else failes there's always jewelry

If you kept a journal of your feelings and how much you've missed her you could give that to her :)
Thank YOU for serving so bravely in the face of so much adversity! We appreciate it!

Just relax and take her to somewhere where you think is good to show her that you love her. No matter where you go or what you do she will always love you for who and what you are.
Also thanks for surving our country. it makes me fell good when i know that our freedom is being protected once again. Good luck!!!!
