Some say people continually war against circumstance, but i say they perpetually flee. What are the works of man if not a momentary respite, a hiding place soon to be discovered by change and transformed. Life is the endles flight before the hunter we call the world.
What do you think?

i do, but i tend to keep things open-ended so change is easier. I can change on the fly and I'm so adaptable unless something requiring the change violates my principles. Then I resist. I fight back.
You can not live your life expecting everything to be the same now as it was even last year. Life moves on, with of without you.

All things are subject to change because we keep trying. The change is what we are building.
I imagine the humanity as a ship going through a sea. Everything we do changes the course of this ship. Anything that we may do is lost in waves that influence only the particular spot where we lived at and only for a while.
In the end the ship doesn't leave any traces of its course. But where the ship will be depends directly on every little or big action that influenced its course. So everything we do does matter.

Two points (and hopefully ten more):

1. Life is almost always better than the alternative.

2. Sure, everything changes, but keep in mind that they don't all change at the same rate. Some insects go through their life-cycles in less than 24 hours, some trees live thousands of years, we live...well, it's a matter of chance, largely, but on average we have several decades. Stars 'live' for billions of years, but eventually they too die. Nothing is forever (literally), so I refer you back to point 1.

i keep fighting because i am a fighter if i was not to be like this it would not make sense to keep living . i cannot surrender so i must keep on going it doesn't matter what the circumstances are , all that matters is that i will not let the world eat me alive . i guess it is on me to be this way , i did not ask for this but it just something which i must keep doing . i think that if i keep fighting there will always be something better and more amazing than ever before . perhaps a world were we all live on peace and help one another , a world were non is hungry , a world were all there is is love for one another .

I am so amazed at how you consistently ask these deep questions. You are an old soul and a restless one. Have you never found your home after all of these lifetimes? You must be a spiritual nomad. I have met a few of you. Take some of my peaceful karma for your journey and I will meet you on the other side.

Its the struggle for existence. We work hard under the bodily conception of life, ie. we think we are the temporary body we are in. The body is always threatened with extinction, which is a foreign state of affairs to us because we are eternal. As eternal spirit soul, we want to live forever, that's our real nature. So we struggle on to preserve our life at all costs.

People need to feel the earth beneath their feet so they are certain they are not lying beneath it or soaring over it. If the world is an illusion it still must give the appearance of cohesion that offers security- albeit transitory.

My personal war is not against circumstances but against myself. ''Things'' of course are subject to change, I even believe that they are nothing but illusions (I mean, literally, they are) But what I try to reach in life is to improve my soul. A soul is also subject to change but it is (I hope) immortal, so what you will carry with you when you die (or change your frequence) is yourself, your being, your existence, your soul. It is the only treasure, I think, that actually is valuable. So I try to increase the ''level'' of my soul in life and I think its how its supposed to be.. I think that's the masterplan of God.

By living in my moment...when you are fully present in your moment...it no longer matters. In this moment, I am not concerned. I am simply here. "I am." I have no want, no need, no desire...I am content in my moment...it is all I know. It is full..it is filled. Life is simply a series of stacked up moments...moment upon moment.

I have this page, a luminescent blinking computer screen...my fingers are moving across the keyboard...It is tranquil in my environment...I am thinking of my answer, my fingers respond accordingly...I am so deep in my moment, time stands still for me. I sense an indefinite, undefined infinity within my moment...as though all my moments are contained within this single moment...and everything in my life always was...and will always be. This is very liberating. I want to stay here. Hm.

Because it is human nature to continue to fight adversity. If this wasn't so, we'd all still be sitting in a cave huddled around a fire.
